I would like to take a little time out and tell you about myself. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's degree in Probability and Statistics and a minor in Intervention Specialist. This is my second year teaching at Monclova and I'm very excited for this year. Along with teaching, I love to coach. I've coached the 5th and 6th grade girls basketball team for 3 years and I gave that up to move up and be an assistant coach to the girls varsity team. I've also assisted in coaching track for 2 years.
2014 was a great year for me. On February 14th, I got engaged to a wonderful man. I'm not sure who was more excited about getting engaged, my students or me. My students met him when we first started dating, they saw me the Monday after I got engaged, and I couldn't imagine getting married without them being there. On October 18th, Eric and I got married at Monclova Road Baptist church amongst our family, friends, and of course my students. I couldn't of asked for a more wonderful wedding day. In 2015, life got even better when we welcomed our first son, Turner. He's a bundle of energy and I couldn't imagine my life without him. God has also blessed us in 2017 because we are expecting our second child.
When I was 5 years old, I asked Jesus to be my personal Savior. My father, along with the help of my brother led me to the Lord. As I grew in Him, I wanted His will for my life not mine. My goal in life was to be a Statistician for a Major League Baseball team, but God has other plans for me. As I prayed and decided that I needed to open the door to teaching, God placed Monclova on my heart. This is when I knew that God wanted me to be here to teach. I'm so thankful for this opportunity to teach students the knowledge that teachers have given me, but to also teach them about God's view while doing so. I feel so blessed to be able to talk about God everyday and watch my students pray for one another and their teachers inside of school.
I look forward to this school year and getting to know each and every one of my students and their families! Please feel free to contact me at any time!
